🙏Urgent Appeal for Donations
🤔What will the donations be used for?
👉Your support will help speed up the painter's recovery.
👉With more support, she should be able to recover her health sooner, resign from the post office, and return to her career as an artist.
👉With more support, she may be able to sue the post office and change public perception of the working conditions at Japanese post offices and the violence they have caused.
👉With more support, she may be able to visit friends living abroad and fulfill her long-held plan to emigrate overseas.
She lost a lot because of her job at the Japanese post office, but she brought about significant changes in work environment at Japanese post offices.
Thanks to her, violence within the post office has decreased, and people are gradually becoming able to work in a safer environment.
We hope that positive changes will occur for her in the future.
Please support her. 😊🙏
📗 Situation Summary
My friend is a painter who studied art at an art school in New
York, but she temporarily suspended her career as an artist and
started working at a Japanese post office.
Having been engrossed in painting since childhood and working tirelessly, she wanted to take about a year off and earn a living through a regular job while commuting.
However, she suffered multiple injuries at the post office, and the company dismissed her injuries as fabricated and refused workers' compensation and other benefits.
Despite this, she did not quit the post office and continued to report her injuries, which resulted in a decrease in violent incidents within the post office.
She is trying to change the way the Japanese post office operates, but her injuries are severe, and it is unclear when her treatment will end.
She needs to sue the post office, and also needs a significant amount of money to quit her job and return to her career as an artist.
I want to raise money to support her and surprise and delight her.
📖 Situation Details
My friend is a painter who studied art at an art school in New York, but she wanted to take a break from her career as an artist and started working at a Japanese post office.
She thought working at a Japanese post office would be safe.
📖However, contrary to her expectations, the work at the post office was arduous.
People carrying packages ran around the building, frequently bumping into her.
She didn't mind it too much at first, but one day, she was hit hard and fractured a bone.
📖She reported the injury to the post office, but they denied it and refused workers' compensation.
This was because they feared that the injury at the post office would be reported in the media and lead to unfavorable consequences for them.
📖She was injured several more times due to the rough handling of package delivery personnel, but each time the post office blamed her and began spreading rumors within the company that she was a liar.
She suffered a neck injury and a deformed left wrist due to a fracture.
📖While she can manage daily life, she is easily fatigued and her health is unstable.
The post office also criticized her for this reason and spread rumors that she was lazy.
📖Despite all this, she did not quit her job at the post office and continued to report her injuries.
As a result, the violence within post offices gradually began to attract attention.
Efforts were made to reduce violence within post offices, such as warning employees who handled packages roughly.
📖While Japanese post offices are not yet completely safe, people are gradually beginning to work towards improving working conditions.
This change began when the painter, instead of running away from the situation, documented her observations and continued to act, engaging in discussions with many people, including hospitals, police, labor standards bureaus, and residents of the area where the post office is located.
Through these discussions, it became clear that many people had been victims of violence and injuries at post offices in the past.
If my painter friend had done nothing and run away from the post office, people would still be getting injured there today.
I think she's doing well.
📝Details of the injury
Warning: This description includes the results of a CT scan and X-ray of a fracture.
📝Because the painter still works at the same post office as the perpetrators, there are limits to how much detail I can write about her.
However, I have a copy of the CT scan data of her left wrist fracture, so I will upload that.
📝She fractured her left wrist several years ago, but it healed completely and beautifully, far exceeding doctors' expectations, much to their delight.
However, the older woman working at the post office collided violently with the painter while she was working, causing the fracture in her left wrist to become distorted, the bone to bend, and her entire posture to become crooked and distorted to the left.
Because it was the end of the year and hospitals were extremely busy, the painter was not able to receive treatment at the hospital until January 8, 2025.
📝The woman regularly bumped into others while working, but when asked by post office staff if she had bumped into the painter, she replied that she had not.
Based solely on that statement, the post office staff spread rumors that the painter was a liar.
📝The doctor was deeply dissatisfied with the post office's response and sent the CT scan images to the post office staff, but the post office ignored them and continued to insist that the painter was lying.
📝Furthermore, at the end of 2025, the head of the postal department at the post office kicked the painter from behind while she was working, spraining her neck and waist.
The post office staff continue to claim that this incident was also a fabrication by the painter and have not offered the painter an apology, compensation, or payment for her medical expenses.
📝If you scroll down the screen, you will find CT and X-ray images of her fracture.
