Why We’re Crowdfunding

I had a vision for opening this space that was first seeded by liquidating my teaching retirement funds. Those funds only go so far, and I've always invited my clients to ask for what they need and want.

I figured, it was time for me to do the same. So here I am, asking for your support to be part of the root system that will support The Thrive Sanctuary as it grows and flourishes to support the local community.  

Your support will help:

• Fund renovation costs that were designed to create a space that feels soothing, welcoming, and is filled with heart. 

• Help us stock our inventory with unique, high-quality air-purifying plants and personal tending tools to help you thrive at home.

• Support initial start-up expenses so that I can focus on what I am good at – creating a space that reminds us all to thrive in the mini-moments.

How The Thrive Sanctuary Came to Be

The idea for the Thrive Sanctuary came to me while training for my first 29029 ultra-endurance hiking event. And because one of my core values is curiosity, I allowed the seed of possibility to be planted, even if I had no experience in retail. Real talk: other than loving plants, and having "too many" (according to my husband, Simon), I don't have any formal horticultural training either. But what I know and believe in is that tending to your thriving is an ongoing journey. A journey that requires trust, ease, and curiosity – and is nourished by the wonder of mini-moments. I 've looked to plants and nature as a source of healing and inspiration for years, in my personal life and with my clients. And now, I'm blending it all together and need your help. Because without the community that I've gotten to help build and cultivate over the last 10 years, the idea for The Thrive Sanctuary would never have taken root. And now that it has, I can't think of a better way to help support this new space – so that it can grow new roots.
