As many of you know, the 3000+ people that have been following Myles since he was privately adopted out of SBC Shelter, he caught no breaks in life prior to coming here to us at Park a Mutt Rescue. Although Myles had no medical issues for not putting on weight, he had gained only 10 lbs from Jan 4, 79 lbs, until April 26, 89 lbs,. Due to lack of proper care Myles now does have major medical issues. From April 26 through May 25, Myles gained 46 lbs, which his gaining weight and the intake and dispulsion of his food being as it should for a Neopolitan Mastiff, caused the following:

Myles has a prolapsed bowel segment that is strangulated and ischemic, meaning inadequate circulation and he has necrotic (dead tissue). In Myles case he will require surgical removal of the necrotic parts and reconstruction of the remaining bowel. This is a major surgery where he will be put under anesthia prior to cutting him open to repair the damage. Myles will require ongoing pain medication and antibiotics until completely healed, as well as supplies to keep him from getting an infection. 

For those that are unaware, Park a Mutt Rescue never recieved pledge money for Myles, we did not receive any of the $5.000 raised for him via his youcaring or Facebook pages. We took Myles because we saw a dog that needed a voice and a chance to have a happy, healthy life of being loved and cared for. Our fundraiser threw this site raised $470 and we spent that, plus the first day we had him. Please take a minute to make a donation to Myles and please share his story.
