James Neale and Emma-Lue Patrick are going to walk from Selby Station to York Station at 9:30am on 21st June 2014 (21/06/2014).

"It is always difficult to choose which charities to support as there are so many good ones out there, so we decided on two each that are close to our hearts." - Emma-Lue

The Neurological Department At Hull Royal Infirmary: -

"Many of you will know that I had Arnold - Chiari Malformation Decompression surgery a year ago and I would love to raise money for them to help with the treatment of other patients. They do amazing work and I would like to give something back to them." - Emma-Lue

Macmillan Cancer Support (www.macmillian.org.uk): -

" I am sure this is close to many people's hearts. It is close to my heart and my family because my Cousin died two years ago with melanoma cancer, ages only 30, leaving four young children without a Dad. I can only imagaine what my Aunt, Uncle, Cousin (his brother) and family had to go through and are still going through but Macmillian and Clan have been there to support them." - Emma-Lue

                                                    James' Choice

The Goa Anglican Centre (www.goaanglicancentre.webs.com): -

Send a Cow (www.sendacow.org.uk): -

"Send a cow is a charity set up by British farmers who, having seen the plight of farmers in Uganda, set about helping and guiding them to enable them to work their way out of poverty. " - James

What we hope to achieve: - 

"Well apart from raising money for these amazing charities we would like to help people feel more possitive about themselves and we would like to show that there isn't such a thing as "I can't" if you want it enough.

What you may not know is that James also had brain surgery, the doctors told him that he would never be able to do certain things, like run but he never gave up and with sheer determination he now can.

I think we all have our limits but if we work with what we have and not focus on what we don't I beleive we can make this a better world for everybody." Emma-Lue

" Having sustained a serious head injury which erased the memory I had concerning the physical coordination of the right hand side of my body I had to "re-learn" what I could. If it hadn't been for the help and guidence of many people such as physiotherapists and real friends I wouldn't be where I am today and I very much appreciate it.

The charities I have mentioned provide a great deal of help for those far less fortunate than ourselves. " - James

                                                       Practical Details: -

"We have been doing a little training and for this and we have worked out that it will probably take us 5 hours but please don't time us, the main thing is to finish the 15 miles. However saying that, we will be starting at Selby station at 9:30am so we kind of aim to get into York station at 2:30pm. It would be lovely to see you all at the other side for a drink at York station.

"Every little counts and we understand if you can't afford very much but if we had 100 people giving £1 each that would be an amazing start :).
