Meet Pluto – a loving Ariegeois puppy who’s 4 months old. A French hunting breed, Pluto was recently saved from a brutal early death at the hands of his hunter owner on account of his deformed front paws. A serious case of carpal valgus, a treatable deformity affecting both front paws, which stops Pluto walking or running normally. Despite this, as you can see he’s a boisterous, loving and active puppy who should not have to face this future.
Questo è Pluto, un dolce cucciolo di Ariegeois di 4 mesi. Pluto è stato strappato alla morte certa per mano del “padrone” cacciatore che l’avrebbe ucciso per via della sua deformità ad entrambe le zampe anteriori. Un serio caso di articolazione carpale vara, una patologia correggibile con intervento chirurgico, che non permette a Pluto di camminare e correre come dovrebbe. Malgrado ciò Pluto è un cane vivacissimo che ama la compagnia, la sua pallina da tennis e più di ogni altra cosa ama la sua vita!
Without costly and complex surgery while he’s young enough, Pluto’s condition will get worse as he grows towards a 30kg adult – and with that weight the pressure on his deformed paws will become ever more debilitating until he's barely able to move. Urgent surgery performed in time will give Pluto a normal future – but at a (discounted) cost of €1,000 per front leg (the worse left one being the more urgent) it can’t be met without your help – even a small donation towards his treatment will make a difference. Questa patologia, con il passare del tempo e l’aumentare del peso (in età adulta i cani Aregeois possono arrivare a pesare anche 30kg), gli renderà impossibile muoversi. Stiamo cercando prima di tutto di raccogliere i fondi necessari per l’intervento alla zampa sinistra, quella che versa in condizioni peggiori; il conto dell’intervento ortopedico si aggira intorno ai 1000 euro per zampa, lastre comprese (contemporaneamente, si provvederà con una fasciatura rigida a contenere il difetto della zampa destra – nel caso ciò si riveli insufficiente, si dovrà operare anche quella). Pluto ha bisogno del vostro aiuto!
Pluto was rescued from his fate by a local woman in Camerino, Italy whose passion is saving and rehousing needy animals of every shape and size – except the very neediest few (14 cats, 8 dogs and various others!) that a home can’t be found for who remain under her family’s care. However, given Pluto’s tender age and hope for the future she wants to help him find an adoptive family and a normal life – but Pluto needs your help or the surgery cannot happen in time!!!
Ora si trova insieme alla donna che lo ha salvato (che già possiede 14 gatti e 8 cani trovati, e per lei non è più possibile provvedere anche ai nuovi arrivati). Post intervento chirurgico e convalescenza, l'idela sarebbe trovare una casa che lo accolga e una famiglia che si prenda cura di lui.
