Update from Jan 9th, 2026.
Today we had an appointment with internal specialist. The urine test came with a high protein level 5.1 (notmal range should be less then 0.5), kidney blood test still shows higher creatinine, phosphorus and sdma that is too high 39.2 (normal range less then 14). That means her kidneys don't work good. Also our baby has a high blood pressure and doctor prescribed meds. This visit with meds and blood pressure measurement was $411. We should redue tests in 2 weeks that will be around $330-$350. Please help us to keep our baby in the stable condition.

Good morning. My name is Elena-Victoria and my baby corgi Candy was recently diagnosed with severe protein leaking kidney disease. It's life treating disease and we should fight for her life every day. It's why I'm asking you for help, every treatment, every appointment is so expensive.
It was shocking for us when on Dec 26 she became weak, lethargic, rejected food and water. We run to the emergency vet that night and she was diagnosed with a severe protein loosing kidney disease. We desperately need your help to cover emergency vet bills, internal specialist appointments and a special diet for our beloved Corgi baby. Without IV, special diet and blood tests every 3 days for now my baby can't survive. Our girl is 4 years and 8 month only and she's struggling with pain, nausea and high levels of BUN, creatinine, phosphorus. That alone cost $7500 including emergency appointment, 3 days of hospitality with 40 hr IV, blood test, abdominal ultrasound, chest x-ray to exclude pneumonia, urine and blood test every 12 hrs to check the levels of dangerous toxins, BUN, creatinine, phosphoru ,which is very high and cause blood clots, protein and other. Her doctor said that she will need be on a strict diet, hills kidney food. She will also need meds for kidneys, nausea, phosphorus binder and other treatments to keep her stable.
This will altogether cost around $1200 every month. In addition to this, we need to go to an Internal medicine appointment every week for now until her situation will be more stable. Each appointment costs $260, not including other tests that they will do to possibly find the reason for the kidney damage in her young age.
Unfortunately I can't get that much money myself for long. I can't even get another job because my mom is very sick, she has an ALS and I'm her care giver. I can't leave my mom for more then 1.5 hours.
The estimated amount for the year is about $20000 not including emergency appointments.

Please don't bother me with comments to euthanize my baby, she's my baby, my younger child whom I love so much and I'm trying to do everything that I can do for her. I network red coded CA and TX shelter dogs for 6 years and now I got in the situation where I should fight for the life of my own fur baby. I appreciate your help.
