As a mother, there’s nothing harder than watching your own child and her own family -suffer and feeling powerless to help. I never imagined writing something like this, but my daughter and her family truly needs our support right now.

In April 2024, while stopping to pick up flowers for a coworker, she was the target of a terrifying incident — a person in crisis pulled a gun on her. Though she was physically unharmed, the trauma that followed has deeply affected her life.

Just as she began to heal, she endured a second, devastating unprovoked assault in August 2025 .

Details regarding that will not be discussed here, but the impact has been severe — emotionally, mentally, and physically.

Now, she’s close to being homebound, is completely unable to work, and her partner has essentially become her full-time caregiver, which is now seriously affecting his ability to work regularly as he normally does.

To make matters worse, they’ve been pulled into an ongoing legal battle involving his children, adding even more financial and emotional strain.

And as if we needed extra icing on the cake, in the weeks following the assault she’s now facing unexpected and urgent medical issues that she has no choice but to address, immediately.

We’re asking for help to cover:

•Basic living expenses while she cannot work

•Medical / therapeutic care to support her and her families recovery after such a tough time

•Legal costs tied to the ongoings of the incident in August

•Emergency medical needs that have just arisen

My daughter has always been someone who shows up for others — family, friends, even strangers. Now, she’s the one who needs help.
