Hi! My name is Bethany Dutcher, and I live in West Michigan. In 2017 at the age of 19 years-old, I was diagnosed with a genetic form of chronic kidney disease called IgA nephropathy. This is a disease that causes damage to the filtering units in the kidneys. I was already in stage 3 when it was discovered. Just two short years later, it progressed to kidney failure. Thankfully, I received a kidney from my Dad just in time at the University of Michigan. It's now been a little over 5 years since my kidney transplant, and I've been doing great but I'm asking for your help. 

I was employed over the summer and early fall at a seasonal job. It's been hard for me to get a new job since then, and I'm falling behind on paying for my Medicare Part B premium. I'm asking for $700 to help with the payment, and any little bit anyone can give helps. I've set the fundraiser for 10 days because Medicare said they need the payment by Christmas. I try my best to stay healthy but it's hard when I'm always concerned about how I'll pay for this premium. Thank you so much, and I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas.
