My name is Amy. My husband Charles and I are failing at the moment. We have both always worked full time to provide but it never seems to be enough to have a good emergency fund or to payoff high interest debt. We are at a hard crossroads right now. We’ve never been able to get out of the rental cycle to become homeowners. Our lease is almost up and the landlord is wanting to sell. We have met with 3 mortgage loan offices and know what we need to do to get approved but we are short on money. I was out of work unpaid due to surgery complications and we ended up racking up some credit card debt. Which is something we plan to never do again. We had been very good about avoiding this prior to my medical issues. We need to get this debt paid off asap to get our credit scores up to have a fighting chance at home loan approval. 
A little backstory, our family has been through traumatic events due to my oldest sons battles with addiction. I even suffered a mental breakdown at one point and haven’t been able to return to higher income/higher responsibility positions since.  I am desperately trying to keep a stable home now for our 3 younger children. They deserve that and so much more. I don’t want to fail them. My oldest son is in recovery now but no longer welcome in our home, so he will not be living with us.  The other issue is our 2 precious dogs. They are both over 25 lbs which is the weight limit for most affordable apartments, which with current rental prices may be our only option. They are family to us and have been a great comfort to our children. Please help us get a handle on our debt and get approved for this life altering home loan. I’ve already taken out 2 loans on my 401k to pay debt. I deliver for Uber on nights and weekends, I’m running out of time and options. Thank you for your time in reading this.
