Hey guys! Dana is now suffering from an infection that will likely cause her to lose her toes and possibly a foot if she does not have surgery to remove the affected areas ASAP. This procedure will not be covered by insurance until the infection reaches amputation level. Meanwhile, her already battered kidneys have to work overtime as her body constantly fights this infection. The long term consequences of not treating this infection right now are permanently disabling.  It also means that the surgery she is set to undergo in Toronto is on hold until this infection is cleared. 

Your donations will help cover the cost of this surgery or fill in the gaps that Dana having to pay out-of-pocket creates. Your help will ensure that she can continue forward and access the next surgery ***that she has already paid for but can't have until the infection is cleared***.  Your donations quite literally are saving someone's life. 

Dana has helped hundreds of people in her 25 year-career as an educator, a social worker and a disability advocate. Her impact in the lives of people she has helped, not to mention the people she loves, has been unmatched. The sooner we can get her back to fighting weight, the sooner she can go back to being the voice of folks who have no one else to fight for them. I know Dana would love to get back out there and, as she always says,  "fight that good fight".
