Hello I am Mourad and I am a 12 grader. My interest in science was ignited when I was 5th grade. I went to a chemistry club at school where we used to make some effective and colorful chemical experiments. At that moment I hadnt known anything about the reactions theirself. Some years later my interest was becoming bigger and I started studying chemistry more deeply. At 8th grade me and my supervisor started making projects in the field of ecology, chemistry and biology. I wanted to learn more and more things about science and ecosystems.

So my first project was associated with zooplanktons in a swamp near my city. These are small organisims that live in the water and they participate the self purification proceses of it. They are very important part for every ecosystem. I started paritcipating in several competitions and I won first prizes.

When I became 11th grade I started developing new project associated with water and sediment analysis from the Danube river. I had the oppurtunity to work with several science institutes. In conclusion there was I found a high concentration of cadmium metal from the taken samples. This is very dangerous metal. It could be easily accumulated in the human body becaude many people eat fish from that river. Thats why a sediment quality system should be created in order to observe the concentrantion of the heavy metals in that river.

From small age I want to become a surgeon and to study in a medical school. From the last competition that I have pariticipated I won first place and the chance to apply for a medical university without entrance exams. I am very happy of that but the problem is that the textbooks and materials the students use there are very expensive and my family could not deal with it. I hope you could help me reach my goal.
