United Neighborhood Defense Movement (UNDM) is a national organization that organizes locally in Austin with working class and poor tenants to resist evictions, slum conditions and displacement. This week all of the complexes we organize in the Riverside area have been without power for days, with many experiencing flooding and no running water. All due to the state's inability to protect or provide for the people.

We've been out with the neighborhood every day this week-keeping people housed, warm and fed so that we can continue our fight for better housing conditions! Many new and old friends have united on the rent and utility strike. The resourcefulness and creativity we've seen this week has truly inspired us. Help us sustain the fight!

Funds will be going to organizers to help with replacing things damaged by flooding and replacing food that went rotten. Contact for other ways to join up.
