Hey everyone! Rocky really needs your help for being rescued for a 2nd time!
We named him that after we took him in because he is the greatest fighter we know. His story and journey will really melt your heart. Rocky is a Labrador mix puppy! He is only two years old! Looking at him though you would never guess he was a puppy because he is so calm and lacks all that bouncy energy a puppy his age should have. Rocky is really sick and needs our help to live the puppy’s life he deserves to have!
We found him on the streets in a bad state while walking our dog. We decided to take him home with us that night since he was in a very bad condition and really scared. He had open wounds on his body and looked like he had been attacked or beaten which would explain why he was hesitant to approach us.
He was found to have Ehrlichia for which he was treated for successfully. Now it seems after the biopsy results we received from Germany, he suffers from a rare venereal cancerous tumour (TVT) on his genitals...We need your help to try and save him once again! His treatment is a type of chemotherapy with a costly drug called Vincristine which needs to be given intravenously once a week for around 7 weeks with blood tests in between to check how his body is responding to the drug each time.
This drug gives him an amazing 90% chance at beating the cancer and living a great life! It would be a shame not to give this puppy that chance with those odds!
We are adopting him into our family, so we are not looking for a home but a helping hand to treat a very sick puppy.
All we ask, is that you help us get him through the chemotherapy he needs to have a fighting chance. Our Rocky is a fighter and we need to keep fighting for him! We rescued him from the streets and provided a home, food and lots of love! Help us rescue him from the cancer, so he can have the life each dog deserves!
