Six little black kittens, dumped in a crumbling cardboard box. One’s eye was so badly infected, it had ruptured. The pain that baby endured is hard to imagine. How scared they must have been, all alone. And then we got the call for help.
Half The Way Home had made a plan. No big pulls till October 1st. Slow and easy. One baby step at a time. While all the paperwork was filed and approved, we were still working on funds to start.
Best laid plans...
Six tiny souls needed us. Why we formed this group, to save those forgotten ones without much chance of help, was staring us in the eye. How could we turn our backs and not say yes? And so, we took a leap of faith. Our first intake is a medical case, and not just one kitten, but six.
Now, these babies need your help. They have seen a vet and the baby with the bad eye is on proper medications, and we have a medical plan for him. They are in the care of a wonderful medical foster and will be loved and cared for, but vetting funds will be needed. Their path to a happily ever after starts with you. We have sourced to find the very best help for the very best cost. We do everything possible ourselves with volunteers and your donation will go towards helping these kittens.
