About a year ago, Shea Justice and I asked our friends, family, classmates and colleagues to support our then upcoming art show, Boston Strong? Over 30 folks donated $1,096 to help make that first iteration of the show a reality.

Thanks to such strong support, Boston Strong? went on to get a lot of press attention, and started a lot of discussions all over the region about how victims of the tragic Boston Marathon bombing were treated far better than the largely black victims of ongoing street violence in Boston. And why that was problematic in a society that still claims to be "post-racial" in the face of the popular rebellion sparked by the recent Ferguson verdict.

Shea and I committed to keep that conversation going - and take the show around the Boston area for as long as possible.

Now - after a Grove Hall library show and a South End gallery show plus a couple of one day events around Boston - we're taking our work up to Lowell for another gallery show and our first public event in Boston's suburbs. Which is very cool, but ... funny thing ... Shea has never stopped producing new work for Boston Strong? So much new work, in fact, that he can really use more donations to be able to get his latest drawings and collages framed.

As such, we'd like to ask everyone that wants to support our efforts to donate whatever you can towards the $500 Shea needs to frame his new Boston Strong? work.

Everyone that does so will get their names added to the list of Boston Strong? sponsors that we post prominently on the wall of every gallery we bring the show to - if your name isn't listed already, that is.
