My Neighbors & Friends:

I am proud to announce my re-election campaign to continue the work that I began four years ago as Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner in the Navy Yard community of Washington, DC.

I want to thank each and every one of you for your continued support.

As many of you already know, I am the current Chairman of Advisory Neighborhood Commission 6D, the District’s largest ANC, representing the residents of Navy Yard, Buzzard Point, Southwest DC, and the Wharf.

I am the Single-Member District (SMD) representative of ANC 6D07, which will split into five Single-Member Districts in 2023, due to redistricting.  

ANC 8F becomes the District’s newest and hybrid ANC, serving residents of both Ward 6 and Ward 8 in the Navy Yard community.

I am a creative entrepreneur, operating two small companies here in DC in an industry that requires unrelenting dedication and grinding in order to remain successful. I’m a change-maker, an optimist, and an overly ambitious altruist who longs for accountability, efficiency, and progress in all aspects of the world that I imagine is possible.   

I mention this because when I stepped into the world of politics four years ago it was quite an eye-opening experience, specifically, as it pertains to work ethic and efficacy. I’ve discovered that most persons in politics tend to be a proxy, a placeholder, as it were, drifting from agency to agency, up (and down) the chain of command, collecting extremely inflated government salaries whether they accomplish a single thing or not. I must repeat this: whether a single task is accomplished or not, we’ve created a system that rewards and promotes individuals whose jobs are to serve the residents of our nation’s capital, the city that we call home. 

I’m very proud to work alongside some of the most dedicated and experienced Commissioners that can be found in this city. I’m also very proud of the work that I have put into this unpaid, full-time job, over the past several years.

Despite the epic meeting schedule, the bureaucratic chaos, and the battle for agency accountability and competency, I look forward to continuing to be a voice for this rapidly growing community, especially as we transition into our very own ANC under the jurisdiction of two very different Councilmembers.
