Jenna's story is a long one. Here is the short version. In 2004, Jenna was nearly killed in a brutal t-bone accident in which she was the front seat passenger on the side of the car hit in the t-bone impact. That she survived at all is a miracle in and of itself. Fast forward NINE years and Jenna is doing better than great. Amazing things are happening, and we want people to know about it. Part of that is that we are going to be taking a long road trip starting June 1, and we are taking mine and our son's bikes, and my wife's trike with us on a trailer. This way, when we get to a destination, we can get onto the bikes/trike and get out and meet people and tell them about Jenna's amazing story. The existing trike is just not doing it for her. It was a $250 single-speed pedal-power trike and Jenna simply gets exhausted on it too fast for us to spend any real time adventuring together as a family. The electric trike is an assistive technology that will take the burden of pedalling away so that she can just scoot along with us (which will most likely still be not much more than a walking pace) and be able to chat and interact with people we meet out and about.
