Meet the beautiful (inside and out) Kathryn McNeil... Kathryn is the National President of bikers With a Cause. She has been an advocate, fund raiser (and survivor) of Breast Cancer Research, Ovarian Cancer Research, Domestic Violence aid services, US Troop Supporter. Veterans Advocate, Child Advocate, Evil Fighting Warrior and Do-Gooder Extraordinaire! (just to name a few off the top of my head)... SHE IS ONE TOUGH LITTLE LADY WITH A HEART OF GOLD. SHE IS HAVING TROUBLES... among other health problems, Kathryn has Lupus and the circulation problems that can sometimes result from this illness. After 13 surgeries to try to save it, Doctors finally had to remove Kathryn's leg. All this immediately after she had just moved into (what she thought was) a cute, smaller,recently renovated, more manageable home, she hadn't even managed to un-pack all the way before she found out she was undergoing major surgery. While undergoing this traumatic experience (like a trooper I miht add) she discovered her little house wasn't what was promised or expected. After a large pet deposit, the fencing had not been repaired so she could bring her large "dog"...stumps had been left in the yard and she couldn't mow. The landlord assured her it would be fixed, INSTEAD, after being released too soon from the hospital (we'll cover that later) Kathryn returned to her home after surgery only to find the landlord hadn't fixed the fence, had dumped fill sand over the stumps in the yard and the home INFESTED with fruit flies to the point where she couldn't breathe with-out covering her face! ALL the plumbing was no longer draining and they were coming from the pipes. The garage flooded with inches of water flowing through it, the back doors to the house were swollen and the doors could no longer be locked to secure the home. Kathryn's surgery site became more infected and she had to return for a long stay in the hospital....It was serious...I stayed most of the time with her at her bedside at the hospital.... Unknown to Kathryn while she was incapacitated the owner of the house had left for vacation in Korea and had put a property management company in charge.... When she returned home again NONE of the promised repairs had been made and the management company was making her appear in court for an eviction notice for not paying her rent on the 28TH! HER DUE DATE WAS THE THIRD! I came down and took Kathryn to court and heard that woman from the company lie through her teeth myself, I'll leave it at, there is a special spot in Hell for folks like her. Long story short...Kathryn has to move by Friday...Saturday at the latest. Her Lupus has flared up due to all the stress. We seem to have trucks and trailers lined up for the move but, we need people to help wrap, pack, label, tape and unpack boxes. AND SHE'S ABOUT $500 short on making her expenses. This is one of those times when just a little boost can put a deserving, contributing person back on their feet or we can turn our heads and let them literally loose it all.
