Hi everyone. I never thought I’d be in the position to write something like this, but I’ve run out of options and I’m trying to keep my life from falling apart before I can get back on my feet.

This month I lost my job unexpectedly, and my savings are already wiped out from trying to stay afloat. I begin CDL school in January — something I’ve been working toward because I want a stable career, good income, and the chance to build a better future. I know this path can change my life long-term, but I just need to make it through the next few weeks.

Right now I’m facing losing both my home and my vehicle. I’m behind on December’s rent and car payments, and it’s reached the point where I can’t cover them without help. I’m doing everything I can to handle the rest — food, gas, utilities, anything else — but if I can’t come up with $4,000, I won’t have a place to live or a way to get to school when it starts.

I’ve always been the person who tries to figure things out quietly, without asking for anything. I’m embarrassed, honestly. But I’m also desperate, and I’m trying to choose humility over homelessness.
