My name is Faten, and I came to Canada as a refugee from Syria
nine years ago. Today, I am asking for your help to support my
younger brother, Omran, and our family who are still facing
unimaginable hardships in Lebanon.
Since fleeing Syria, Omran and my other brothers settled in
Lebanon as refugees. Unfortunately, their refuge turned perilous
again when Beirut was bombed a few months ago. Omran, along with two
of my brothers, had to flee their homes in haste, carrying only
their essential documents and a few precious items. Tragically, one
of my relatives was injured in the attack and passed away due to a
lack of medical care.
The situation worsened, forcing many to hide in forests or cram
into overcrowded homes in search of safety. Omran and two of my
brothers’ families, along with their children, have moved into a
small house with my sister in Tripoli. This home is now sheltering
ten families, struggling to find security once more as the violence spreads.
These families need basic necessities: food, medication, diapers
for the babies, and funds for rent. The situation is dire, and I
want to help them as much as I can, but I need your support to make
a real difference.

supplies and giving my family a chance to survive and find some
semblance of peace in these turbulent times.
