To say that Loreen has been through a lot in the past several years is an understatement. Her struggles have included multiple cancer diagnoses, the most recent of which she is now facing treatment for the second time in a few years. Her two kids have been a source of joy in her life. The family of three has endured more than its share of hard times. Over the years, a few trips taken to visit Loreen's extended family in Maine (over 2000 miles from their home in Texas) have been among the happiest memories that they share.

Desperate circumstances caused the little family to be split apart about a year and a half ago. The decision to move closer to her extended family and friends and leave the kids, now teens, behind was excruciating for Loreen. It was simply a choice that had to be made. Although D & L were left in good care of family, the separation is so hard for all three of them.

Please consider helping make a trip for D & L to visit their Mom possible. Loreen is working hard to simply find a home base for herself where she can rest and recover during her treatments. Her Maine family and friends want to help her have a restful visit with her kids before treatments (and all of the body-battering effects they bring) are imposed on Loreen. We hope you will consider helping that cause as well. Please join us in our attempt to help her feel more settled in one spot so that she can enjoy the company of her little family, even if only for a few days. We will keep all donors posted with updates on Loreen's progress and about the kids' visit we hope to make a reality.

• Gas money, etc. for trips to see Maine family while here
