Hi there,


Thanks for considering donating to this cause. My name is Jesse Jeffery. I came across a wonderful story in the news on July 17 of a Syrian family, the Alabrachs, (Rasool and Faekah along with their five children) opening their new restaurant, Damascus House. The family fled Syria eight years ago and eventually settled in London. Their story is one of resilience and tremendous hard work to get to where they are now: entrepreneurs.

 

Sadly, just five days after opening their business experienced a fire. I saw a Tweet from CTV London about a local fire and immediately recognized the business in the photo from the uplifting story CTV wrote just five days earlier. 


It would be a tragedy to allow this fire stand in the way of fulfilling their dreams.
