Hi my name is Jamie Chambers and my family needs your help.  On October 5th 2016 our lives changed forever.  My brother in law was arrested for murder in self defense.  The man he shot and killed was the father of his boyfriend with whom he lived with for over 2 years.  The man, Richard Gibeau, attacked my brother in law Josh Chambers, he slapped him and tried to choke him to death, leaving marks visible in his mug shot.  Josh tried to get away and tried to start moving his things out of the house to leave before anything happened again.  He was scared and put his gun in his pocket without a bullet in the chamber.  He left to go to his vehicle which had been blocked in.  Richard, a near 7 foot tall 250lbs man, started to come at him again.  Josh, who is only 130lbs and 5'11 was rightly terrified.  Josh grabbed his gun when Richard was about 17feet away, and put a bullet in the chamber.  Josh is very well trained on guns and safety he would have only pulled it out as a last resort.  But Richard still kept coming.  Josh shot wildly 3 times, and on the fourth Richard was lunging at him and he shot, hitting Richard in the neck at a downward trajectory proving Josh was protecting himself.  Josh turned himself in immediately and cooperated with the law.  He had to wait almost 2 years on a trial.  And today he was found guilty of second degree murder despite that this was a clear cut self defense.  Please help us raise funds to appeal this verdict and help us take care of him while he is incarcerated.  He means a lot to very many people, and we just want him to come home.
