Alicia has a beautiful soul, contagious laughter, is a mother, a wife, a true friend and so much more. Not many of us understand the extent of the medical, emotional & financial struggles she and her family have endured the past few years, more than most of us will come to know in a lifetime.  They are strong, determined and kind people who would help anyone who needed it but right now they could use OUR help. I'm asking for your positive thoughts, prayers and consideration toward supporting her family.

Alicia's been fighting one illness after another and literally been in the hospital more than 3 dozen times in just 3.5 years. She has been diagnosed with Systemic Lupus, Chronic Pancreatitis, POTS, Adrenal Insufficiency, Interstitial Cystitis, Anemia, Sphincter of Oddi Dysfunction, Osteopenia, Hashimoto's Thyroiditis and other painful conditions such as Fibromyalgia, Chronic Infections and Migraines. Results are expected back in roughly 3 weeks for another very serious condition being investigated and positive results could indicate limiting life expectancy. She is currently fighting sepsis and having a challenging time both physically and emotionally. Now her family is also being faced with utilities being turned off and not enough food on the table.

Alicia lost her job around the time she was diagnosed with lupus. She got ill and has had multiple surgeries about the same time her husband, Craig, left his job to pursue full-time law school. Their plan was for Alicia to support the family financially during his school career but that is not how it turned out. He tried looking for a job but there were not many opportunities and none that made leaving law school worth it. He continued his journey with the goal to help try to improve their situation. Alicia immediately qualified for disability, so disability plus student loans became the only sources of income to support them and their two small children. Craig recently graduated suma cum laude and just took the bar exam. However those incredible accomplishments don't yield automatic employment or income. 

I'm trying to help offset some of the costs and bridge that gap between all the sacrifices my dear friend & her family have made, the difficulties they've endured and the medical bills that have accumulated these past 3-4 years.  Please, if you feel compelled to do so, donate to support Alicia and her family during this difficult time.
