Nick Askew was diagnoised in 1993 with Renal Cell Carcinoma. He underwent a Nephrectomy to remove his left kidney and 11 pound tumor. In Feb of this year he was diagnoised again with a tumor in his right kidney. He had a partial nephectomy and tumor removal. The doctors thought they got it all! When he returned for his post surgery checkup, CTSCANS showed that the cancer had metastisized to his lung and lymph node. Presently Nick is being treated with Chemotherapy, which will likely be for the rest of his life. They are seeing good results with this therapy. The tumors have not grown any since the treatment started. Prognosis is good as long as Nick can continue treatment.
In order to continue this treatment,The Askew's need help with expenses incurred,This is very costly with the numerous trips to Houston, parking, all day visits to MD Anderson, co-pays, prescription co-pays and such. His wife, Donna,is his care giver and needs to stay home to be able to take him for his appointments and to take care of him. This has put them in a financial bind as they live on a very fixed income. Please open your hearts and give to this wonderful couple so that Nick can continue fighting for his life and Donna can continue taking care of him as well as her Autistic grandson.
