Adzhar's family is homeless because their home was destroyed by war.  We can help by raising money to help them put a downpayment on a new home.  Adzhar is a friend of mine who came to the United States as an exchange student 3 or 4 years ago.  While he was here, he came out to my church to hang out with his friends.  Adzhar always has had a big smile and a kind spirit.  When he went home to the Philippines, Adzhar kept in touch via Facebook.  The thing that I've loved the most over the years is watching his leadership skills develop as he has actively engaged in a variety of youth-leader organizations.  I've also loved watching him decide upon and attend a university.  Recently, while at university, Adzhar's home town was seized by militants.  His family was under continual threat until, finally, they escaped to a nearby island.  Once escaped, they were able to provide occassional updates to Adzhar concerning their well-being.  Sadly, they were running out of supplies fast because the place they escaped to was cut off by the war, with no way for food and medicines to get in and no way for them to get out.  Then Adzhar received word that his family home had been burnt.  He, also, thankfully received word that his family was finally safe.  He joined them.  Then the flooding hit.  No home.  Severe conditions.  Very difficult.  His uncle housed his family in his garage.  Still, there was no place to call home.  Adzhar and I have been in touch throughout this whole ordeal.  His faith in He, which I call "God" and he calls "Allah", has not waivered.  He remains faithful and hopeful.  So do I.  No one should be homeless and helpless.  Leastwise this young man who is so good and pure in heart.  It is my hope that, together, we have the power to help his family put a downpayment on a new home.  Every little bit can help.  Please, help us PROVIDE for Adzhar and his family!
