Layle Anders hasn't added a story.

My grandfather's name is Ceasar. He's 72 years old. And right now, my family is fighting alongside him as he battles cancer and leukemia.

I have sat here so many times trying to figure out exactly what to say.

Because how do you put something like this into words?

How do you explain what it feels like watching somebody you love change right in front of you?

How do you explain the fear?

The tears?

The hospital visits?

The bills?

The feeling of wanting to do something....ANYTHING....to make things better, while knowing you can't just take the cancer away from someone you love?

That's where I am right now.

And that's why I'm asking for help.

This is for my grandfather, Ceasar.

If you've ever met my grandfather, you probably know one thing about him:

He is FUNNY.

He can make us laugh almost every single time we see him.

That's one of the things I love most about him.

He's the kind of person who can make a room feel different just by being himself.

And that's why seeing him like this has been so hard.

Things have gone downhill.

There have been so many tears.

He's been depressed.

He's been dealing with things that I know are difficult to even put into words.

And honestly, he just hasn't been the same.

I miss seeing that version of him.

The one who makes everybody laugh.

The one who can turn an ordinary moment into something we'll remember.

The one who is just... Grandpa.

And I don't want cancer to take that away from him.

So I'm setting a goal: $20,000.

I know.

$30,000 sounds like a LOT.

And believe me, I know how big that number looks.

But I've been thinking about it differently.

What if we don't look at it as one person having to give $30,000?

What if we look at it as people coming together?

2,000 people giving $10 = $20,000.

That's the goal.

20,000 people.

Not 20,000 people who have to give a lot.

Just people who are willing to be part of helping my grandfather.

$5

$10.

$25.

$50.

$100.

Whatever you can honestly afford.

Because I believe small acts of kindness can become something huge when enough people come together.

What will the money actually help with?

The money raised will help my family with the expenses that come with Ceasar's cancer care and treatment.

That includes things like:

Transportation to and from appointments and treatment.

Medical and treatment-related expenses.

Medications and other necessary care.

Medical bills and other costs that come along with his treatment.

And the expenses that people don't always think about until they're suddenly dealing with them themselves.

I want the money to give my family some breathing room.

I want us to be able to focus on Ceasar instead of constantly worrying about what bill is coming next.

I want him to have the support he needs.

Because I keep thinking about something.

I've always said that money doesn't matter.

And I still believe that money isn't what makes somebody's life valuable.

But when someone you love is sick...

When someone you love is fighting cancer...

When money can help pay for transportation to treatment, help cover medical expenses, help keep the lights on while a family is dealing with everything else...

you start looking at money differently.

Because sometimes money can create a little bit of comfort in a situation that feels completely out of your control.

Sometimes money can mean one less thing for your family to worry about.

Sometimes money can help somebody get through another day.

And right now, if raising $30,000 can help turn my grandfather's situation around even a little bit, then I'm going to fight for it.

I'm not asking you to fix everything.

I'm asking you to help with one piece of it.

Maybe your piece is $10.

Maybe it's $25.

Maybe it's $100.

Maybe you're in a position to give more.

And maybe you can't give anything at all.

That's okay too.

Because if you can't donate, you can still do something that could mean everything to us:

Send it to somebody.

Put it on your social media.

Text it to your family.

Send it to a friend.

You never know who might see it.

You never know whose heart this might reach.

You never know who has had a grandfather, grandmother, parent, sibling, friend or someone they love fight cancer and understands exactly why I'm asking.

One share can reach somebody I never could.

So here's my challenge.

I'm looking for 2,000 people who are willing to be part of Ceasar's fight.

2,000 people × $10 = $20,000.

Or maybe it's:

2,000 people × $10 = $20,000.

100 people × $200 = $20,000.

40 people × $500 = $20,000.

It doesn't have to be one person.

It doesn't have to be a huge donation.

It just has to start somewhere.

And I'm hoping it starts here.

I want my grandfather back.

I want more laughs.

More jokes.

More family gatherings.

More random conversations.

More memories.

More time.

I want my grandfather to have the chance to feel like himself again.

I want my family to be able to breathe.

I want us to have some sense of security while we're going through something that has already taken so much emotionally.

And honestly?

I'm desperate to make a difference for once.

I've sat here feeling helpless enough.

I've cried enough.

I've watched my family hurt enough.

Now I want to do something.

And if this fundraiser can help give Ceasar a better chance at getting through this, then every share, every $10, every prayer, every kind word and every person who takes the time to read this means something to me.

$20,000 in this situation to me is:

is treatment.

is transportation.

is less financial stress.

is comfort.

is security.

is hope.

And most importantly...

is more time with my grandfather.

So if you can help us reach this goal, thank you.

If you can't donate, please share this.

And if you do either one, just know that somewhere, a 72-year-old man named Ceasar has a family fighting like hell to see him smile and laugh again.

Help us give him more time. ❤️

20,000 PEOPLE. ONE GRANDFATHER. ONE FIGHT.

Will you be one of them?
