Urgent: Help for Mother and Two Sons After Domestic Abuse Eviction
I am writing this with a heavy heart and a deep sense of urgency. My name is Lorissa, and I am a mother to two amazing boys. For what seems like forever we have been living in homes that are not safe for us. Following an abusive event by the home owner (now ex boyfriend) was arrested and removed.
However, his parents filed an eviction just days later. Court was on the 23rd. Where the judge did not care about our situation and ordered my sons and I to leave the home by the 29th.
We are currently facing the terrifying reality of having nowhere to go in just a couple days. As a survivor, my priority is the safety and stability of my children, but without immediate financial help, we are at risk of being on the street.
The funds raised here will be used only for ( any extra funds I will be donating to The Caring Place, a local domestic violence shelter)
* Emergency housing and a security deposit for a safe new apartment if I can even be approved with eviction on record.
* Essential moving costs for a uhaul and storage unit to store what few belongings we can take.
* Basic necessities like food and supplies for my sons as we transition.
Leaving an abusive environment is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do, especially without any family to assist, but I am doing it for my boys.
