Help Our Family Build a Bus Home

Hi everyone,

This is something we never imagined we’d be doing, but we’re reaching out for help during a really uncertain time for our family.

My wife and I live with our toddler in a rental home where we currently pay  $660 per week in rent. Recently we were told that  our landlord plans to sell the house, which means we will likely have to move out sometime before the beginning of next year.

Like many families right now, the  rental market is incredibly difficult, and with the cost of living and rent already so high, saving enough money for another place – plus bonds, moving costs, and everything else – has been extremely challenging.

After thinking about our options for a long time, we decided the best path forward for our family might be to  buy and convert a bus into a small home.

This would give us something stable that we actually own, instead of constantly worrying about rising rent or being forced to move again.

It would also work well for our lifestyle because  we homeschool our child, and a bus home would allow us to create a simple, flexible life while still providing a safe and comfortable place for our family.

Our goal is to raise enough money to:

• Buy a used bus
• Convert it into a safe and functional small home
• Cover basic materials and essentials needed to live in it

We are prepared to do  as much of the work ourselves as possible  to keep costs down.

We know times are tough for everyone, and even just  sharing this fundraiser  would mean a lot to us. Any contribution, big or small, will help our family move toward a stable home instead of facing the possibility of having nowhere to go.
