Hey friends! I’ll be going to Havana in January with my partner, and I’ve paid for extra luggage fees to bring as many skateboards and shoes as possible to give out to the local skaters there. There is a thriving skate scene in Cuba, and unfortunately due to restrictions both international and domestic, they have no way getting skate gear without people bringing it in from outside countries. I first visited Cuba on a skate trip in 2014 and made lifelong friends, and I’d like to help them as much as I can. Used boards are always encouraged and appreciated, but the point of this fundraiser is to buy as much new stuff as possible so they have the best of quality and longevity in what they’re getting. 100% of proceeds will go towards product, our flights and accommodations are paid for, I’m strictly raising money for new boards, shoes and accessories. Receipts and photos will be provided, your donation will directly improve the life of someone who shares your love for this wonderful hobby (sport?) that provides endless creativity, community and freedom.
