I am turning 32 this month in June, I live in Dover Tennessee & I have had the hardest time finding any doctors that are able to help me because I have a rare syndrome, and they arent well versed in my condition.  I have Classical Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, and had a bad car accident in 2006 where I broke my C4 in my neck, compacted my spine, and had some brain injuries. Well if you know anything about EDS we already are succeptable to having cervical cranial instability because of loose tendons unable to hold our heads on straight. So you add damage like I’ve had there’s a huge risk now of going paralyzed if I don’t get my neck stabilized. It’s already moving so much it’s pushing on my spinal cord and causing massive headaches, blurry vision, extreme dizziness, nausea, vomiting, and extreme brain fog. I am a single mom that’s partially disabled so I’m unable to do more than a day or so of helping my mom at her business before I’m worn out and have to stay in bed. I don’t want to be like this! I would like to be able to go back to work, and take care of my 3.5 year old daughter without any help. The surgeries I need are for CCI, and another thing called occult tethered cord, where my spinal cord is attached to the side wall and causes a ton of other bad symptoms. Urgency to pee, then when I pee there isn’t much, I use the potty 20xs a day! Even get woke up from my sleep to pee a few times. Dizziness, numbness, tingling, and pain. Both of these things cause a great deal of pain which is the worst part. Doctors now a day don’t want to touch this surgery because we are high risk. They’d rather let me be on pain meds forever. I don’t want that! I want to be fixed. Please help me raise the money to get these done. I have Tenncare govt insurance so that won’t pay out of state doctors which are the only doctors that will touch this surgery with my condition are about 5 specialists in the USA, one in NYC, SC, and a few other states up north.
