Hello all! Yes it's me again asking for help!
This little pittie boy was hit by a car yesterday. The driver kept going and left him for dead.
His owners found him in the road and brought him home. Max was on a runner and broke free, headed straight to the road and was hit immediately before his mom or dad could catch him.
Now before you judge about him being on a runner here's their story:
Max's owners have fallen on some hard times as have a lot of people in the last year. Their mobile home had a tree fall on it making it unlivable for the time being. As they wait for the landlord to get the insurance clearance to repair and make it livable, they are living in 2 tents next to the trailer. They do not have a fenced yard so they let Max on a runner so he can get some exercise. Neither have a job right now and so reluctantly they reached out for help. They knew they risked being judged and ridiculed but Max was more important.
He has been in pain since yesterday. We have gotten some pain meds for him but he NEEDS to go to the vet. He has some deep lacerations on his side that need stitching and his right front leg may be broken. His entire body is riddled with road burn and cuts. The car hit him and then literally 'rolled' over him. His left ear is torn up, the tip is gone. He is a tiny little boy in much pain and needs our help.
PLEASE help us to help him. He is going to need a lot of xrays which are expensive, some stitching, pain meds, and antibiotics.
He is also an intact male and they have given permission to neuter him! Which is a WIN! One more pit that will not breed! Yay!
He also needs vaccines.
PLEASE don't judge. PLEASE no drama. I know we all have our idea of how it should be...this dog is loved. PLEASE put everything else aside and let's get him taken care of.
