"The official investigation being run by governments and agencies has failed to find the plane, due to either incompetence or obfuscation. We must work together to ensure the truth is found.

On behalf of the 3.1 billion people who fly every year we must find the truth and bring those accountable to justice. We must also prevent this from ever happening again."

... Sarah Bajc, Partner of Philip Wood, Seat 11C on MH370

The Shocking Summary
MH370 disappeared from radar in the early morning of March 8, 2014. It was on a routine flight from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing when it vanished over the South China Sea.

In the three months since the last recorded message from the flight there have been claims of multiple debris sightings, satellite images, pings from the air and the ocean, and hundreds of conspiracy theories. Still, we have no idea where to find the airplane, its 12 crewmembers and 227 passengers from 14 different countries.

This mystery has too many unknowns, false leads, unconfirmed facts and missing details. Yet, someone somewhere knows what happened to flight MH370. We hope to encourage them to come forward.

Our Motivation
The Malaysian Prime Minister said on 24 March 2014 that the flight ended in the middle of the Southern Indian Ocean, thousands of miles off course and in one of the most remote parts of the planet. He stated definitively that all souls on board were lost.

Months of searching have not produced a single bit of proof to back up his claims. There has not been even a shred of wreckage found in the water, on nearby or distant shores, or in fishing nets.

Signals reportedly similar to those emitted by the black boxes were heard in the search area but again nothing has been found and these pings ended soon after their discovery. We have subsequently learned that the pings were not those of an airplane after all.

Each day adds more cost and frustration for the search teams, and more confusion and heart break for the families. It is estimated that the cost of this fruitless search so far is in excess of $100,000,000.

The investigation, as the Malaysian Government has run it, has failed to date, despite significant resource contribution by many hard working searchers, and the taxpayers of many countries. To those contributors, we give our hearty thanks.

OUR effort will not be in opposition to the official investigation, but rather seeks to uncover clues not yet discovered, and to pursue that evidence without interference from parties who are also liability holders in this case. We hope to plug doubts, overcome shortcomings, and improve the number of actionable leads towards in the search for MH370. The accountability of the authorities remains undiluted.

The Reward
Every effort to locate the flight so far has failed. Continuing along the same path is unlikely to change the outcome.

However, we believe there is a person or persons who know the truth about what happened, and know where the plane is.

We want to encourage the truth to come out by offering a substantial reward.

What We Need
We need to provide a substantial incentive for anyone who knows the truth to come forward. We also need independent investigation done by people who have no conflicts of interest in the determination of fault once the plane is found.

We need $5,000,000 to start. Without this incentive the truth may never be found and the future of air safety will hang in the balance.

How Will The Funds Be Used?
The first aspect of the campaign will be to fund a reward in the hope someone with knowledge of what happened will come forward with actionable information.

The second aspect of the campaign will be to engage a professional, licensed private investigation company to follow up on this information and provide additional searching based on those qualified leads.

The third stage of the campaign will be to lobby governments around the world to invoke real change in air safety, aviation procedures, aircraft tracking, passport security and ensure this situation never happens again.

What You Receive
In return for your support you will receive the eternal thanks of those so deeply affected by this tragedy, the knowledge your contribution is helping find answers and will ultimately improve air safety in the future.

We will memorialize our gratitude to you with several graphic images denoting your level of contribution that may be used in your email signature, as a screen saver, as a profile image in social media or on a giant electric billboard outside of your home! We want every penny possible to go towards finding the truth.

We have named our donation levels according to the most precious metals in the world because it is metal that makes up the frame that carried our loved ones. Source: www.911metalurgist.com

Why Support Us?
More than 3 billion people every year, somewhere in the world, board a flight with the expressed desire to arrive safely at their destination without the threat of a problem with their flight.

Since the disappearance of MH370, and the uncertainty as to what caused the flight to vanish, there is a giant question mark over the safety of air travel. Until the answers are found this question mark will remain.

We must also begin to close the security holes that have already been uncovered in this incident, many of which happen to be the same as those uncovered in the Air France 447 incident, and 9/11 before that, and multiple other aviation disasters prior to that. REAL changes need to be implemented to ensure it never happens again.

What If We Do Not Reach Our Goal?
If we do not reach our goal of $30,000, the reward and private investigation efforts will be reduced accordingly.

What If We Exceed Our Goal?
First, we celebrate the awesome power of good people doing the right thing! Second, we increase the amount of the reward, and expand the private investigation services. Imagine how much more we could accomplish with $60,000!!!

The Impact
This mystery has touched the hearts of nearly every living person on this planet. It has torn apart the worlds of the families connected to the disappearance of MH370 and placed a dark cloud over the safety of air travel as we know it.

Your support will allow us to search for the truth of what really happened and solve one of the most baffling aviation mysteries in history.

Implementation Details
Funds will be allocated as follows:

The fundraising goal is $30,000 USD, to be raised within one month from the campaign launch on June 15, 2014.

All funds raised will be allocated to the Reward and cost of investigating the leads generated by the reward as required by the governance committee.

If the plane and passengers are located and there are unused funds from either Reward or Investigation services, all unused funds will be used for lobbying for better airline safety, changes to airline incident investigation policy and ensuring this never happens again.

Governance Committee
The Reward MH370 initiative is lead by a team of seven people: five who are family members of passengers on the ill-fated flight, and two who are experienced with fundraising and private investigation. All decisions made regarding management of the campaign, selection of and coordination with private investigation resources, lead advancement and reward payment must be approved by a majority of the Governance Committee.

Here are some quotes from our team:

No one feels the devastation of the loss of MH370 better than Ghislain Wattrelos, a French business executive. Two of his teenage children, Hadrian and Amber, and his wife Laurence, were returning from a holiday in Malaysia. “How could this happen? In this age of constant connection and pervasive surveillance, a giant plane has been allowed to just disappear. That cannot be an accident.” Says Wattrelos. “My family deserves to be found.”

Sarah Bajc, partner of Philip Wood, who was returning to Beijing to help her pack up their apartment for a move to Kuala Lumpur, has worked tirelessly to find the truth since the flight disappeared. She believes “Without a fresh approach, the truth and the plane will never be found.” According to Bajc, a high school economics teacher, “Governments and agencies have given it their best shot but have failed to turn up a single shred of evidence, either because of a faulty approach or due to intentional misdirection.”

“Lives are important. So is truth. Personal loss is hard to bear, but to live in fear is intolerable. If we can know what happened and do so collectively by all means in our hands, we help ourselves and we serve others,” says K.S. Narendran, an Indian Management Consultant whose wife Chandrika Sharma is also on MH370. “I want to find my wife, and I want to know the truth. Without the truth, families cannot move on with their lives. We need closure. The world needs closure.”

“Since the disappearance of MH370 a dark cloud has hung over the safety of air travel and there has been growing unease over the inability of governments and their agencies to work together to ensure we are all safe when we fly.” says Pralhad Shirseth, whose wife, Kranti, was on her way to visit him in North Korea, where he was Managing an Irish-based NGO. According to Pralhad, “Until MH370 is found and the reason for its disappearance is known we will be bombarded with conspiracy theories, false leads, books and movies which will provide nothing but conjecture. We need to find the truth and ensure this never happens again.”

Peter Weeks, a New Zealand litigation attorney, whose brother Paul was on his way to Mongolia for work, says “Someone somewhere knows the truth, they could be your neighbor, work colleague, brother, sister, mother or father. No matter who they are we need their help to solve this mystery, make the skies safe for everyone and return the passengers and crew to their families.”

Maarten Van Sluys, a Brazilian businessman, who lost his sister on Air France 447 in 2009, and was instrumental in the search and recovery of AF447, considers the mystery of MH370 more baffling, more complex and more daunting than what investigators experienced when AF447 crashed. He said, “This recovery is going to take all the efforts of a great deal of people and I applaud the initiative of this project and the potential it will bring to the solving of this mystery.”

“This mystery is unprecedented in the history of aviation, and we need to work as a collective community with one goal of finding the truth, the plane and the passengers,” said Ethan Hunt. Hunt is the CEO of Rapide 3D, a former military airmen, an experienced private investigator, and a successful Indiegogo fundraiser. Hunt said. “We are convinced that somewhere, someone knows something, and we hope this reward will entice him or her to come forward.”
