This #Chewsday I am so grateful towards an amazing veterinarian in La Paz, Mexico.... Dr. Francisco Jose Santa Ana Lopez. 

I woke up 5 days ago to little Chewie shaking on the floor with a badly protruding eye. We rushed him into the city and with the severity of his condition had to leave him there. He was treated for Glaucoma but with very little reaction to the medication it was looking like Chewie would lose his eye. Thankfully the real problem was discovered ... a severely infected tooth which caused a massive infection in his eye. Something I can’t believe my vet back home had missed after getting a full exam before leaving for Mexico. Chewie was needing care around the clock to control the pressure in his eye and to keep his pain under control so Dr. Francisco actually took Chewie back to his home and stayed up with him instead of leaving him at the clinic.

I’ve been a wreck but thinking of a way to thank him for his phenomenal care has helped me stay positive. Dr. Francisco does a lot of charitary work with stray animals and often helps people that can't afford medical care for their pets. I plan on donating money to put towards his selfless efforts and immediately thought of how much more impactful that could be with the support of all Chewie’s #ChewsDay Friends. 

Dr. Francisco also played Hero to my sister's yorkie tux who needed an emergency surgery a couple years ago. Needless to say he has been a blessing to us and I'm so thankful that my parents made a connection with him when they moved here for the winters.

 **When donations are made it will go into my paypal account as Canadian funds and 4% will be subtracted by GoGetFunding.com. The money will then be withdrawn and converted into pesos before taking it in to the clinic. A receipt will be emailed to you by paypal saying you've made a payment to Cassie's Camera .... I won't be able to do tax receipts since this was thrown together quite quickly and don't really know the first thing about the proper way to raise money online. Hopefully the obvious unprofessionalism of this doesn't discourage anyone but I completely undersand if that's the case. A special update will be done the following #ChewsDay (Jan 14th)
