When we reached 1400 we were able to get this woman and her child to a safe location a few hours away where we secured some long term housing for her and her child. I have helped her to apply for benefits but they can take up to 6 weeks to come in. Any funds raised from this point onward are to help support her and her child in the mean time. Thank you everyone for helping us reach this milestone

This fundraiser is being organised on behalf of an acquaintance who approached me last night in desperate need of help.

This woman has a young child and is currently living in an unsafe situation with her partner. She very recently tried to leave the home but didn't have the funds to safely look after her child, so she returned which has made their situation even more unsafe.

Her family live quite far away and she doesn't have contact so she is quite isolated. It would be great if we could raise enough to be able to set a plan in action so she could safely leave the home with her child.
