Chibuike Victor, cellist

Currently, Chibuike is completing two highly rigorous conservatory years at the MUSON School of Music in Lagos, Nigeria. While this training has strengthened his technical foundation as a cellist, he now needs to move into a more comprehensive, liberal arts environment to fully develop his artistry, broaden his perspective, and advance his long-term goals.

That next step has become possible through his acceptance into the University of Victoria’s prestigious School of Music in British Columbia, Canada, where he has been awarded a partial scholarship in recognition of his talent and promise. However, significant financial barriers remain.

Coming from a family with very limited means, Chibuike needs support to cover the remaining tuition, travel, and basic living expenses required to begin his studies. He is deeply committed to using his music to uplift others—teaching young musicians, expanding access to arts education, and contributing meaningfully to his community. With support, this opportunity will allow him not only to grow as a musician, but to create lasting impact through music and mentorship.
