The Stray Dogs of Romania can only find safety and health, as well as food at the private shelters, opened  by Volunteers. We are able now to supplement the food, thanks to your Donations at the Public Shelter Breasta, but many Dogs are still starving, sick and in desperate need of medical care. The private shelters pull as many dogs as possible in their care, but they need help, they are all Volunteers, and the cost to safe these poor animals is horrendous, and all the dogs going to a private shelter will be spayed/neutered immidiatly by a wonderful Veterinarien, who helps all he can, but he too needs Medications and Treatment for these poor animals, and  is dependent upon Donations. Many of the Dogs coming from Breasta need Medical Care, X Rays, Lab Test, Skin Treatment.

These Volunteers at the private shelters work for up to 20 hrs per day, three people taking care of over 300 dogs, that visibly improve under their care, and even start to be a little playful.  I just got back from Romania, and these people taking it on their shoulders to save and feed the Strays on the Street and built Shelter to house and feed them have won my heart, very seldom have I seen human beeings not beeing blessed with wealth, but just about in need themselfs as giving as they are. One young woman is starting to built a shelter on her own, on the land of her family and she houses over 21 dogs at her kennel so far. She needs sponsors to be able to continue, you even get to name your sponsored Dog, mine is named Joey, and she needs desperate help to improve and get help to get more animals housed and she will be starting a training program with these animals, who have never been on a leash, to help them adapt once they find a home.

None of these Private Shelters can make it without Donations, please help these giving Angels of Mercie help their dogs in their country. A Sponsorship for a dog is at 30 Dollar per month. All Donations, no matter how small will be welcome.
