I am raising money to help my daughter, Roxanne Landry purchase a suitable home for her son "Seb" who is handicapped and medically fragile.

My grandson, Sebastien is the most courageous little boy you can ever meet.

He was born with two serious genetic disorders:

1...  Deletion 18q Syndrome (1 in 40,000 births)

2...  Pitt-Hopkins Syndrome (250 known cases worldwide)

He has suffered tremendously throughout his life.

He is only 5 years old and growing rapidly!

He is now over 40 pounds and cannot sit unattended, stand nor crawl. He is completely dependent upon his mom and caregivers. This task has become physically demanding. He is too heavy to carry around.

Sebastien requires a lot of specialized equipment which have now completely outgrown the house. The rooms are tiny and the space is totally maxed out with equipment and devices.

Everything is cramped and there is no room to move nor to improve the situation.

He is in desperate need of a ramp for his wheelchair, a track lift system and a specialized bath seat. There is no possible way to add accessibility to the house's entrance. He currently has to be physically carried in and out of the house as does his wheelchair. It is so dangerous carrying him down the flight of stairs. He is very heavy and very awkward to carry.

Winter is around the corner and it will be very difficult to push his wheelchair to the end of the driveway in order to get him on the handi-transit bus to go to school.

His medical issues include:

-  seizures

-  decreased white matter causing delayed neurological responses

-  hypotonia (muscle weakness) and poor coordinatiton

-  allergies

-  asthma and chronic respiratory infections

-  skin disorders

-  feeding and swallowing issues (G-tube and special diet)

-  hearing and vision deficits

-  sleeping issues (severe)

-  multiple hospital admissions related to infections and epilepsy

-  steroid deficiency

-  low immune system

-  severe cognitive, motor and speech delays

My daugher, Roxanne is a very very special mother who is totally devoted to her son. She is currently doing her Masters in Speech Pathology and will have her degree at the end of August 2014.

She was  hoping to manage in their present home until she could complete her studies and become gainfully employed in her field. However, it is now crucial that a more suitable bigger, safer and wheelchair accessible house be available to Sebastien.

The only issue is ..... a down payment!

Roxanne has found the perfect house that could accomodate everything that Sebastien needs. An offer has been accepted depending on financing.

Please help me to raise enough funds for her down payment!

I thank you from the bottom of my heart!
