Meet foster Ginger, who came to ABR from a shelter in Melbourne , Fl a month ago.  Ginger and Orion, another ABR foster in Orlando , were abandoned in their home before coming to ABR.   During the first few days in her foster home, her foster family said she was limping and they heard popping noises her knee and knew something was wrong with her back leg.   Ginger was suffering from a torn ACL and torn meniscus and, sadly, we don’t know how long she was in pain.    Ginger had surgery 3 weeks ago and the Dr. used a plate and eight screws to repair her ACL and removed the meniscus.  She is recovering nicely and is able to take short walks.     ABR is committed to doing everything they can for their rescue pups, but sometimes donations and auctions do not provide enough money to cover all of the medical expenses.  Her initial bills for surgery, spay, vaccinations are over $2500.00.  The bad news is that she now needs to have her other knee surgically repaired as soon as she heals from this surgery. Please consider making a donation to help ABR cover the cost of Ginger’s surgery.  Your donation will be used directly towards her surgery and we sincerely appreciate any donation amount.
