Hi all. I'm appealing for your to help me raise – £8,000 ex VAT for
a
Joystick Tramper.(Please
note)
it is thought that I would not have the strength for a
Recumbent trike, so am now been advised to get a TRAMPER which is
powered and joystick controlled which would still get me up on the
hills. I live in Lancing West Sussex & I'm worried
about my increasing health due to weight issues not helped by my
disability. I suffer Severe rheumatoid arthritis in all my joints
& severe back pain & occassionely have to use an electric
wheelchair kindly donated by the wheelchair trust as I cannot use a
stick for support e.g because I had smashed to pieces both shoulder
joints amongst other injuries back in November 92 after being hit by a
car & knocked 14ft in the air & 50ft down the road. I was dead
for 2 minutes, but 2 nurses had bought me back as they visited me to
say they had. If I had known how things were going to be like now back
then, ide have been better off dead as much as I appreciate what they
had done. My health has got worse over the years since I had several
ops to remove my right side shoulder joint which was replaced with
metal plate & arm amputated from the elbow. My left shoulder was
also damage beyond repair & had since healed in a damaged
condition. Only recently it was suggested by a consultant that I have
a full shoulder replacement, only then to find out by first an Xray,
then a scan to show my shoulder had crumbled and is beyond repair. I
cannot excercise as much as ide like due to all the pain, but what
would help is a Tramper as shown
,
where I can comfortably sit right back & steer + controls gear,
brakes e.g from one hand. But, fortunately this comes at a cost which
is money I simply don't. I cannot work as much as ide like too &
only get IS & DLA, so your support is very much needed & would
be so much appreciated beyond words that can be described as it would
help me get back to cycling again to enjoy the great outdoors &
more importantly to help me lose weight doing what I love at the same
time. Please help me if you can. I'm happy to send some sort of proof
