Riot City Ravens are Newport's first Roller Derby team.

Set up in summer 2014 by a group of dedicated women, keen to run a 'for the players, by the players' fully democratic team, open to all. 

As all new teams do, RCR are keen to recruit and train new players, promote the sport of Roller Derby and encourage more people to take part. As part of this, money is always needed for recruitment, kit, marketing, transport etc.

Team members will be fundraising throughout the year, and individuals may choose to do something themselves for the club - our first team member to do this is Laura Face-Palmer #222

"This spring I am challenging myself to run a marathon of two halves.

Newport half marathon on 1st March 2015 and Llanelli half marathon on 8th March.

I will also be running thr Pontypool 10K Home Run on 22nd February as a warm up!

In doing so I hope to raise around £500 for my team, Riot City Ravens!
