As most of you are aware by now, Christopher Summers experienced a very serious accident on November 12th which left him in critical condition. Chris, while stationed in Hawaii serving our country in the United States Coast Guard, fell approximately 40 feet from the mast of his ship to a concrete pad below and into the harbor.  He suffered many internal organ and bone related injuries. He is fortunate to be alive!  Although Chris has made amazing progress recovering from this accident, his full recovery is going to take months, if not years.  Those of us who know Chris are confident that if anyone can fight back and fully recover, it is Chris.

This whole tragic situation has been a terrible blow to not only Chris, but all of his family and friends.  Following the accident, his parents John and Janet went to Hawaii and have been providing the kind of loving support that only parents can give. They have dropped all of their daily routines in Wisconsin and are committed to seeing Chris though the days and weeks ahead.

Through social media, Chris’s story has reached many friends, family, and acquaintances worldwide.  The support has already been overflowing!  All of the prayers, love and positive energy have undoubtedly helped Chris and his family make it through the past weeks.

This fund has been established in Chris’ name for those who would like another way to help him see this through to a full recovery!
