Hey everyone!
My name is Sheenya Baillie, and I will be representing Ontario in the Miss Canada Globe pageant 2015. Here is a little bit about me and why I want to be a part of this AMAZING experience!
I was born and raised in Bowmanville, Ontario where I was instilled with the principles of hard work, dedication to academic success and above all else, a strong commitment to my family and friends. Growing up in a large family as the youngest of five siblings, I was taught at an early age how vital it is to be independent and fight for not only what you want, but also what you believe in.
Being supported by food banks and the Salvation Army, insecurity was a big issue. Having one parent successfully teach five children confidence and independence is rare! I want to have the opportunity to display my confidence and the love I have for myself, although I am not perfect, (far from it, and proud!) I am still b-e-a-utiful! Ultimately, I would immensely enjoy spreading my message to all women, young and old, that beauty is much more than skin deep. We are all influenced to look such a way that is encouraged by both media and society. I am telling all women that your height does NOT matter, your waist size, the size of your chest and the amount of freckles you have on your face does NOT matter.
(Un)fortunately, as I am entering my second year at University of Ontario Institute of Technology studying Life Sciences; I do not have the funding available to cover all costs on my own (totalling $3000) to experience this boundless opportunity, so I am asking for YOUR help! Any donation, small or large, will be greatly appreciated and in return comes with the guarantee that I will represent myself in August 2015, with the upmost effort to ensure your donations do not go to waste!
