On Halloween 2013 I realized what a said representation of a superhero I was as I attended the holidays events with my daughter. I was overweight and had practically no muscle tone. I looked more like the old retired Captain America. My daughter as awesome as she is was still proud to have me next to her but I couldn't help but see something missing in her eyes. I promised her by the next Halloween that I would get in to shape and be superhero ready. Thus started The Captain America Initiative.

I am in need of some suplies. My running shoes are falling apart. My work out clothes are a joke.

I need your help to get me to my goal in October. Every penny donated will be spent on Captain America themed gear. If you are kind enough to donate than I am crazy enough to run for miles, work out for hours and do it all flawnting Capt America themed gear. It will all be pictured, vieoed and plastered all over the facebook pages.

**UPDATE** Several people have reached out tell me how inspiring this is. Well their stories have inspired me. I am raising the fundraising goal and adding to the initiative. The beginning funds will go into the training and the acquisition of a costume. The remaining funds will be donated to a family in need! In true hero fashion the funds will be delivered in full super hero costume! Please donate so we can change the life of someone who needs it.
