My 10th grade son, "Malik", has been accepted to travel with the People to People Student Ambassador Program, Summer 2014.  They'll be traveling to learn the history of Modern Civilization on their trip to Italy, Sicily, and Greece.

My son, as well as other local students, were chosen for this opportunity based on their academic excellence, so it is with keeping that in mind that we hope you'll recognize how this travel opportunity will be quite beneficial for my son, his fellow students, and for our future, as OUR CHILDREN are our future and having them well rounded, educated, driven and productive NOW should hopefully spill over into their adult lives.  INVEST IN OUR FUTURE NOW BY INVESTING IN MY SON!!

No donation is too small and I'll be glad to answer ANY questions you may have regarding this trip, what the funds are to be used for and a running total of donations.

This is just one of MANY fundraisers we're planning to utilize to help offset my personal costs in paying for this approximately $8,000 trip.  BUT I FEEL MY SON IS WORTH EVERY PENNY AND PLAN TO DO MY ALL TO MAKE THIS POSSIBLE.

We thank you in advance for your contribution and please look forward to our Facebook posts informing you of progress, future fundraisers, goals, etc.

My son's bio:  He is a 15-year old 10th grader at Robeson Early College High School and is the President of FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America).  He is a member of the National Junior Beta Club as well as his middle school's Battle of the Books Team.  He is proudly one of the founding members of his Robeson Early College Highschool's Science Olympiad Team, participated in his school's team in the 2013 Relay for Life Walk and volunteers in several other areas of his school on a regular basis. He loves Jeopardy, Words With Friends, Brain-Teasers, random facts, and is a computer buff, desiring to be a Computer Engineer upon graduating college. Speaking of college, he'd like to attend Cal Poly-Tech or MIT.
