In the fall of 2009, two women joined forces to aid a feral cat colony that had grown significantly and had 11 very sick kittens who were in dire need of medical attention. In 2010, despite their efforts to trap and spay/neuter nearly 20 adult cats, more than 60 kittens were born, most of whom were successfully rescued. Many of the kittens who were rescued were extremely sick, needing veterinary care and lots of TLC. Several, unfortunately, were too sick to pull through. In 2011, Annette and Angela were seeing success in their efforts. Only 7 kittens were born from two defiant feral mother cats.

As of today, there are still a number of cats from the project in foster homes and needing veterinary care, food and supplies as we look for their forever homes. It is estimated that there are at least 12 adult cats remaining at the colony with several who still need to be spayed or neutered. NKLB continues to support the colony by providing shelters, a constant food supply and medical care for the cats as needed.

Your donation will provide continued food supplies and veterinary care for the cats living outdoors and those in foster care; spays/neuters for any new cats who may show up at the colony; and vet care needed to treat the injuries associated with outdoor living.

Thank you for helping us in this massive effort to provide for the less fortunate and give so there is No Kitten Left Behind-MN.
