Lottie Rann is a child close to my heart as I taught her 6 years ago and was very fond of her and her family. Lottie Rann is 11 years old and contracted meningitis for the second time in April, she was rushed to Great North Children's Hospital, Newcastle, for a 7 hour operation to ease the pressure from her brain and spinal cord, an operation that saved her life but left her paralysed from the neck down. Lottie is currently at Tadworth Court, a childrens rehabilitation unit in Surrey. Lottie's family desperately want to bring her home but need to make sure their bungalow in Niton is suitable first. They have received money from the local authority and Meningitis trust to adapt their home to accomodate Lotties motorised wheel chair but it is not enough. We have founded the 'Lottie Rann Trust' to raise extra funds so they can fully adapt the property and bring her home as soon as possible. If anyone can help them in anyway I know that her family and I would be forever grateful.
