Jason, Merrick and I are looking for a place to live in Toronto, Ontario.
We can’t apply for OHIP (health insurance) coverage without
a ‘real’ address. We continue to save up, but the total Cost of Husband's
Immigration hit quite hard in light of the ever-increasing cost of
living. We were working towards moving after my 70th birthday (2028)
before the regime down here began aggressively dismantling functional
society. We live in a large city, but in a ‘red state’ so the upcoming
federal elections could drastically reduce our safety.
Husband's Immigration approval has come through, and we are
looking for a bit of help with our move; planning on using a U-Haul
one way, and shipping our 2022 Kia Soul- nothing fancy.
We are also looking for a sympathetic landlord to rent a
space despite our not having any current Canadian credit
history as I moved to OH 30 years ago. That's not something we can do
on this site, so please share our story and help us get across the
Gordie Howe International Bridge, and home before the snow flies.
Our target area is Toronto near a TTC lone.
