Hey! I'm Katherine Desimine, I'm an emerging choreographer based in Philadelphia, PA. I am bringing a new short dance work to NYC in just one month (show is on June 7th, 2026 at the Queens Dance Festival!)
I am so excited to be working with three amazing dancers: Arianna Polite, Sydney Coffman, and desire amaiya suarez! We have been working collaboratively since the beginning of April to put together a new dance work called 'electric trio'.
The piece is pretty abstract. It involves some big movement interests of mine right now, including:
- repetition
- walking patterns
- pivot turns
- athletic, dynamic movement phrase-work!
We are in the throes of making this piece, as well as trying to get to NYC for the show! As the choreographer, I am committed to paying the dancers a per diem, covering transportation costs, as well as paying a small rehearsal/performance stipend.
