Freedom Paws Transport hasn't added a story.

WE ARE WORKING ON A MORE SPECIFIC TIMELINE FOR OUR UPCOMING TRANSPORTS : PLEASE CHECK BACK OFTEN FOR NEW DETAILS! THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING THESE AMAZING DOGS!

We are volunteers, animal lovers, "dog people";  we are bleeding hearts who want to Save Them All. And with your help, we're one step closer to being able to do so.

We have the opportunity to save 30 dogs this month (and every month) and to enable them to have a brand new leash on life; a new start; a long, safe and happy life full of the love that they deserve.

WE ARE ORGANIZING TRANSPORTS FOR BROWARD COUNTY'S "DEATH ROW DOGS" SAVING LIVES ONE MILE AT A TIME

By creating partnerships with no-kill rescues and shelters across the state of Florida and across the country, we are able to rescue dogs from Broward County who would otherwise not make it out of the shelter alive.

THE MORE WE CAN RAISE, THE MORE WE CAN SAVE!

Transport is not cheap. We use an air-conditioned "bus" that makes comfort stops for the dogs so that they are able to travel in the most humane, calm and comfortable way possible. Sometimes, we cannot fit many dogs on a transport, because we provide transport for some of the shelter's biggest, heftiest residents. Each transport is organized with the welfare of the dogs in mind and to make sure that they are not traumatized by the trip.

The roster of dogs travelling each month is updated, as more dogs are added, and sometimes, if a dog is adopted at the eleventh hour, as dogs are moved up the transport list to take their place.

This month's travelers are...

MANNY, young boxer mix male who was saved from euthanasia at the last minute after being given just 72 hours to live  *traveling to Fort Collins, CO*

GOLIATH, 2 year old gentle giant bulldog/presa mix who loves to play *traveling to Fort Collins, CO*    SAMSON, young red pit bull with a big blocky head, losing weight in the shelter due to stress  *traveling to Fort Collins, CO*

LAVERNE - 10 year old rottie mix with heartworm *travelling to Fort Collins, CO*  GUCCI, GUNGADIN & KISHKE - 4 year old Doberman. *Gungadin & Gucci travelling to Clearwater Beach, Florida *Kishke, who has skin issues & a bladder stone issue, are traveling to Fort Collins, CO*   HERBERT - senior pit bull not adjusting well to shelter life. Although he is trying hard to please everyone you can tell Herb misses his home & really needs to find somewhere to spend his golden years with love and comfort *traveling to Fort Collins, CO*  FAYE - 7 year old American Staffordshire mix rescued from death row at the eleventh hour after being given 72 hours to live *traveling to Fort Collins, CO*  BOY - 4 year old low-rider pit bull abandoned at a veterinary clinic in Miami. He loves his toys and playing fetch and is headed to a foster-to-adopt home *traveling to Fort Collins, CO*
LUCKY - 2 year old shepherd mix not who initially did quite well in the shelter but who has lately begun to suffer from stress and fear *traveling to Colorado Springs, CO*
CHELSEA - senior Australian cattle dog mix, suffering from skin issues. Chelsea is going to be part of a Seniors for Seniors program and spend her days getting cuddles from seniors at a retirement & senior living complex *traveling to Florida's Gulf Coast* TRANSPORT COMPLETED!!
FROGGY & ALFIE - bonded pair of senior dachshunds and headed to the Seniors for Seniors program on the Gulf Coast. These two cuties were a shelter diversion thanks to a network of concerned neighbors & friends, and are now headed to a life of cuddles and attention. *traveling to Gulf Coast of FL*
RIDER - confiscated from his owner, Rider was almost ready to travel when he got a kennel cough - poor guy! Now all better, Rider is ready to roll *traveling to Clearwater* TRANSPORT COMPLETED!!
KING - Lassie look-alike who came into the shelter terribly matted and clearly in pain from all the scratches and tangles *traveling to Clearwater Beach, FL*  JAZMYN - 9 year old Labrador lady who is constantly overlooked at the shelter *traveling to St. Petes, FL*  ASH - senior Labrador gentleman anxious to spend his golden years in a quieter, calmer environment *traveling to St. Pete's Beach, FL*  HENRY - gentle senior who is a volunteer favorite, and who has skin discoloration on his flank *traveling to Green Bay, WI*  HAZEL - volunteer favorite and shelter long-stayer, Hazel has been in temporary foster awhile and finally has the chance of the happy ever after she's been craving *traveling to Green Bay, WI*  JAMES - six year old chow mix who is constantly overlooked at the shelter *traveling to Green Bay, WI*

OREO - young mama whose pups were likely taken away from her far too early. She is misunderstood at the shelter and is on the urgent rescue list *traveling to Green Bay, WI,* (Oreo will be traveling separately due to delay at foster home)
*ALREADY TRANSPORTED*

the following have already been on transport to their new start!

MAX - withdrawing rapidly in the shelter environment, happy boy Max went on transport to Clearwater Beach, FL and a was adopted just 2 days later! He now has a loving mom and dad and a fur sibling. Happy tails Max! Arriving at Clearwater!
Enjoying his new digs - playtime at his new, smaller shelter!

ADOPTED! Just 2 days after he arrived, Max was adopted!

JUJYFRUIT - 11 year old black Labrador went to "fospice" care on the Gulf Coast of FL as part of the Seniors to Seniors program. Although he passed away shortly after his arrival, his transport to a new home meant that he was able to spend his final days in a loving environment, on a warm bed, snuggled in a blanket. RIP Jujy, we were blessed to know you.  Jujy's rescue went to a kill shelter the next day and rescued a little blind black lab pup in his honor, thereby passing on a little piece of love.
LITTLE LUCKY was a last-minute addition to this month's transport schedule, hitching a ride along with Chelsea and finding his feet very quickly in the Seniors to Seniors program we love & support in Fort Myers. (pics to follow)

CHELSEA Australian cattle dog with alopecia selected for the Seniors program in Fort Myers, and able to transport thanks to the generosity of donors to the Fundraising campaign! Chelsea is still settling in to her new environment but with love and kindness she is slowly coming out of her shell.  (pics to follow)

RIDER Rider was a perfect passenger but was quite shy when he arrived in Clearwater to meet his new rescue family. Scared at first he has now been approved for adoption and is also a proud member of the Diamond Doggies program which means that he will receive pampering, monthly spa days and playgroup opportunities even after he has been adopted. Rider arrived as Clearwater was uncharacteristically chilly & was given a snuggly new Sherpa jacket to keep him warm. Rider rocking his new sherpa jacket!
